Phase 1 of the FY24 Watermain Replacement project,4^th and 5^th Streets from 104 to Kay Layne was completed in late October ’23. Water Supervisor Andy Lee said “Petersburg Plumbing did a great job keeping the project on schedule. We were able to connect updated services with little interruption to homeowners.”

Phase 2, involving 8th Street from Lincoln to Franklin, as well as Lincoln and Franklin from 8th Street to 10th Streets, began on Nov 27^th and is expected to take 3 months to complete. Crews will start on Lincoln St and work their way towards 8^th Street, then north on 8^th to Franklin, and back west to 10^th street. Please be on the look out for road closure notifications and boil orders as work progresses.
